Privacy Policy

What we collect

Paper Trader is a desktop application. Your trade journal, positions, and account data are stored locally on your device in a SQLite database. We do not have access to your local trading data.

If you subscribe to Paper Trader Pro, we collect:

• Your email address (via Stripe checkout, used to deliver your product key)
• Trade data you sync to the cloud (encrypted in transit and at rest)
• Product key activation status

How we use your data

• To deliver your product key and manage your subscription
• To sync your trade data across your devices (Pro subscribers only)
• To calculate leaderboard rankings for the Monthly Circuit competition
• To send transactional emails (key delivery, billing receipts)

We do not sell your data to third parties.

Third-party services

• Stripe — handles payment processing. We never store your card details.
• Resend — transactional email delivery.
• Binance API — live price data fetched by the desktop app. No personal data is sent.

Data retention

Local data lives on your device indefinitely until you uninstall the app or delete the database file. Cloud-synced data (Pro) is retained for the duration of your subscription and deleted within 90 days of cancellation upon request.

Your rights

You may request deletion of any data we hold about you by emailing support@btcpapertrader.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be communicated by email to subscribers. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
